PLANTING BENCHES
Standard sizes and specifications

Specifications

1. Benches are constructed entirely of solid IPE (pronounced e-pay) - Tabebuia Serratifolia - a South American hardwood that is 3 times harder than oak. Due to its hardness and natural ability to resist decay, IPE provides superior service when used for greenhouse benches, patios, piers/boat docks, outdoor furniture, walkways and decking.
2. IPE comes from forests that meet the international environmental standards of the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) for sustainable growth and is sold as a certified product.
3. Benches are sanded and finished with teak oil. End grains are waxed.
4. The table height is 30".
5. Corners posts are constructed of 2 1/2" square (finished size), sides 5 1/2" x 1", tabletop 5 1/2" x 3/4".
6. Bench has feet consisting of 3/8" diameter leveling mounts with nylon glides and t-bolt receptors.
7. Benches are joined with stainless steel cross-dowel recessed corner connectors.
8. Optional two-shelf bench stand as shown in the photo above with wet location lamps mounted below the shelves consisting of two-tube fluorescent fixtures with a sealed acrylic lens and reinforced fiberglass body.
9. Benches are manufactured entirely by Wisconsin Solar Design, Middleton, WI, USA.
10. Benches are shipped fabricated and pre-assembled, knocked-down and bundled, ready for assembly.
